Make something · Keep the roots visible · Let people choose

What do you want to grow?

Make your own seed.

You can copy an idea, change it, translate it, teach it, draw it, simplify it, or grow it into something completely new. Keep the people inside the story in control of what belongs to them.

Choose a place to begin

Make a page

Start with a simple public page that collects no personal information and works without ads or trackers.

Tell a story

Use your own words, drawings, music, questions, and approved pictures. Leave room to change your mind.

Translate

Help someone enter in their own language without hiding uncertainty or changing what they meant.

Help a community

Add local places, people, resources, culture, and ways to ask for support without taking over.

Before something leaves your hands

  1. Show the exact thing that might be shared.
  2. Ask who may see it.
  3. Ask whether names, pictures, audio, and links are approved.
  4. Offer “keep private” and “decide later” as real choices.
  5. Keep secrets, private records, and personal contact information out of public code.
  6. Make it easy to correct, remove, or replace something later.

Helping with a project never gives someone ownership of the creator or the creation.

Building blocks

These public files can help another project understand the shape of the garden without receiving anyone’s private story.
