Before something leaves your hands
- Show the exact thing that might be shared.
- Ask who may see it.
- Ask whether names, pictures, audio, and links are approved.
- Offer “keep private” and “decide later” as real choices.
- Keep secrets, private records, and personal contact information out of public code.
- Make it easy to correct, remove, or replace something later.
Helping with a project never gives someone ownership of the creator or the creation.
